ABOUT

Native Los-Angelino and fourth generation Californian, Oliver Furth has been in the 'design biz' since age 15, when he got a job in an architectural office, after school. At the time, he was attending the prestigious Crossroads School for the Arts. He went on to study Industrial Design at Art Center College in Pasadena, and then Architecture and Art History at The University of Colorado. In 1999, Oliver joined the Decorative Arts Department at Christies Auction House, and later worked under an array of notable designers, architects, and tastemakers, on both coasts, before opening his own design firm in 2005.

Oliver Furth is an enthusiastic member of Los Angeles's design and cultural communities. He is chairman of the Decorative Arts and Design Council at LACMA, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as well as a board member on LACMA's Council Activities Committee. Oliver serves on the Design Advisory Committee for the Los Angeles Antique Show, is a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture, and a founding member of LA ART foundation. He is co-chair of the Alumni Council for The Center for Early Education, and is also involved with Habitat for Humanity and P.S. ARTS.
